Camco Portable 5-Gallon Toilet Bucket with Seat, Lid and Carry Handle
The Camco Portable Toilet Bucket (model 41549) is the refined version of the classic 5-gallon bucket toilet. It adds the two things the bare Luggable Loo leaves out: an attached carry handle so you can move it one-handed without spills, and three included bag liners so you can use it on day one without a separate purchase. The UV-resistant polypropylene bucket is easy to rinse and will not yellow or crack in the sun, the seat snaps firmly onto the rim so it stays put when knocked, and the lid seals tightly enough to keep odors contained between uses. It is the toilet most RV owners and car-camping families actually upgrade to after outgrowing a bare bucket.

Middle-of-the-night bathroom trips at a primitive campsite are miserable for everyone, kids especially. This bucket toilet upgrades the bare 5-gallon system with an attached handle for one-handed moving, a seat that snaps on and stays put, a lid that keeps odors contained between uses, and three bag liners so it works from the very first trip out of the box.
🏆 How It Compares
Compared to a bare 5-gallon bucket toilet, the Camco adds what the cheap route leaves out: an attached carry handle so you can move it full without spills, three included bag liners, and a UV-resistant bucket that won't crack or yellow in the sun. However, it still costs more than a DIY bucket, and you must pack out waste and buy replacement liners — it's a bucket system, not a cassette toilet.
Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Attached carry handle lets you move the toilet full without spills
- Includes 3 bag liners so it is ready to use out of the box
- UV-resistant polypropylene will not crack or yellow in sun exposure
- Seat snaps securely to the rim and stays put if the bucket is knocked
❌ Cons
- More expensive than a bare bucket toilet like the Luggable Loo
- Still a bucket system, you must pack out waste and buy replacement liners
- Bulky to store in a small tent compared to a folding toilet seat
