Kids Ice Cleats - Snow Crampons for Hiking Boots & Shoes with 14 Stainless Steel Spikes
A kid-sized studded harness: 14 stainless-steel spikes on a stretch band that pulls over kids' boots, sneakers and snow boots in seconds, so a child can walk a frozen campground loop or an icy sledding hill without holding an adult's hand the whole way. Sized for kids rather than stretched down from an adult pair, which is what keeps the harness on a small boot. 4.7 stars across 400+ Amazon ratings.

Kids fall on ice faster than adults can react, and an adult harness stretched onto a small boot rolls off at the worst moment.
🏆 How It Compares
The kids' end of the studded family: fewer, shorter spikes than an adult microspike and a harness genuinely sized to a child's boot. Pair it with insulated snow boots and one pair of coil cleats per adult, and a family can walk a frozen campground or sledding hill without hand-holding every step.
Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- 14 stainless-steel spikes give real bite on refrozen snow and sheet ice under a child's boot
- Kid-sized harness instead of an adult pair stretched down - less rolling off small boots
- Pulls on over snow boots or sneakers in seconds, so kids can do it themselves
- About $20, which makes one pair per child affordable
❌ Cons
- Sized for children - adults need their own pair rather than sharing this one
- Not for steep mountaineering terrain; this is campground and sledding-hill grip
- Stock runs thin in winter - order before the first freeze
